“Our vision for JuanLife is for Filipino families to go to us for their basic insurance needs because we understand their needs,” kwento ni Ms. Roselle Masirag, ang General Manager ng JuanLife Philippines. But in order to reach this, Ms. Roselle and the JuanLife team had to educate people first about insurance.
“The awareness and appreciation of insurance is very low in the Philippines, especially because Filipinos think that all insurance products are expensive,” kwento ni Ms. Roselle. Dagdag niya, “we are exhausting all efforts, using our media channels to educate the public and change that mindset. We want to empower people to understand their risks, and to make buying decisions to mitigate those risks.” Kailangan ng mga tao ng concrete plan of action that would protect them from potential risks, which JuanLife offers.
One year later, JuanLife was able to provide protection to thousands of Filipinos who did not think that they can afford to buy insurance. The JuanLife Kakampi network has already reached VizMin, kasama na dito ang Bohol, Cebu, Davao, Negros Occidental, at Zamboanga Del Sur.
On top of this, nagkaroon na rin ang JuanLife ng distributors at dealers sa Singapore, Hong Kong, Guam at Norway, kasama na dito ang mga Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) na nagsimula muna bilang clients ng JuanLife. After initially buying insurance protection for their families back home, they realized na their kababayans share the same fears and motivations, and saw this as an opportunity for them to promote JuanLife in their adopted country and earn extra income.
Aside from providing business opportunities, JuanLife has also opened its doors to charitable organizations in the past year. After donating insurance to selected frontliners during the lockdown in Metro Manila, it has recently partnered with Habitat for Humanity Philippines, a nonprofit organization, to launch a donation program para sa kanilang beneficiaries na nais maitayo ulit ang kanilang mga tahanan matapos masalanta ng Bagyong Rolly at Bagyong Ulysses. This 1-year free insurance gives their beneficiaries P150,000 maximum coverage for any injuries caused by accidents.
Sa darating na bagong taon, ang JuanLife, together with corporate partners, ay patuloy na isasakatuparan ang kanilang vision to provide the basic insurance needs of Filipino families by making insurance products accessible to them.
